Problem With Marine Teammates

arguments
Alright, I was commander for some games. I'm sick and tired of people asking me with medic packs and ammo in the beginning. I consider them a waste of resources (-2 ...-2 ....-2 ) i told them i need to save up to set nods and turrets. i would give them depending on their locations around the map (like hives ) otherwise "NO". They come **obscenity** at me calling me a "newbie commander". I'm like "fine, you want to take command f*ckers?!" Ironically, they tole me they're not good at it.

Don't call people "newbies, noobs or whatever" it's annoying. You're not even that good either. Don't you think?

    ***NEWSFLASH***

We're all newbies. I hate how NS has already got some fairly nasty n00b-bashing going on.

Amen brother. Marine with no upgrades, and no health, standing right next to spawn portal whining "GIVE ME HEALTH".

stfu, just /kill yourself, you'll be back in 15 seconds

Here's a clue: The commander is not your mommy. He will not (cannot) always give you health and ammo every damn time you want. Suck it up. If you need ammo try to get back to base.

    sheesh

Fine you got a bunch of half health marines trying to secure mess hall on ns nancy see how long they last...
or trying to take horseshoe on eclipse, if your not giving out health at locations where they are trying to secure resources you are a bad commander. But if they are sitting at the spawn asking for it then ok i guess they could just kill themselves.

Dropping ammo/med packs in the first 2 to 5 mins of the game is an incredibly bad idea.. However there are two occassions to which you should, as a commander, drop those.
    1) your team has just moved into a hive and have taken quite a beating, chances are that as fast as they can respawn they will be coming to finish the job. YOU SHOULD DROP MEDPACKS here. Why because its an invaluable point, no matter how much you throw into holding/defending/ or gaining a hive point, it can never be too much.. that place is golden man, golden.
    2) a group of your guys are halfway across the map, they lost many men on the way and are low on health and ammo, they are either holed up somewhere temp. safe or they have just taken a prime piece of real estate, you should reward them and do your best as a commander to keep them in top notch fighting until reinforcements arrive, and/or you can place a phase gate/turret factory.

YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE OUT PACKS when....
After the initial rush, don't worry there will be another rush and another, your guys die and respawn and that is free.
If someone is solo, unobeying orders etc.
If someone is near the base, have them kill themselves or just defend til dead..
If you can drop an armory instead of ammo its advisable, or a phase gate back to base, ammo packs are stupid, ammo is free , just go back to the armory... As a Commander I will rarely ever drop ammo packs, and never in the first few mins unless its one of the 2 reasons mentioned above.

i disagree with comment that we are all newbs. i dont think being a newb is measured from the time the mod came out, but at how much time youve spent playing the mod. i know im certainly not a newb at aliens or marines, but i am at being commander because i dont like playing commander and never really gave it an honest shot.
