Can no longer place large aquariums (may 2016 update)

Can't put them in multipurpose rooms anymore. I'm building an underwater aquarium complex with biome exhibits- but now I can't because I can't put down any aquariums! Starting over isn't really an option for me: this place is huge and extremely complex. Rebuilding would take WEEKS.

    Ive had a problem building aquariums since I started playing a week ago. I have to exit the room take like 3 steps back, look slightly up or down and the "room" in front of me will turn a funny blue glass color, if I click it drops the aquarium and then I can walk in and finish building it. Cant place it from inside the room though!
