The Early Game....

I don't know if it's just me, but because I've had to start a new game so many times (i.e. when new big updates come out) I just find the early "grind" for Tank -> Fins -> Builder -> Small Base so tedious...
"Okay, I've got the bits for a Fabricator... Unpowered! WTF do you mean 'Unpowered'... Okay, what do I need for a Solar Panel? ... Where's the f** fragments?"
*Stalkers RoarTM* "Arrrgh, f*ck off!"
"Thirty seconds of Oxygen remaining."
"Ah, shut up!"
"Ah, crap I'm down to half-water; where are the f****** Airsacks???" / "Just need to get this Peeper... come 'ere you little bastard!"
******
Later...
"Okay, I've got the Blueprint and bits for a Solar Panel..." *makes panel--base still unpowered*
"Oh for gods's sake what n-- it's still Night??!!"
F3 -> Enter -> day *base powers up* "Oh, f***ing finally!"
*checks farms* "Oh, for f---" *nocost -> builds extra rooms for double tanks -> gets 'third' Airsack.*
"Mild dehydration detected..."
"SHUT UP!"
"Blood nutrient levels decreasing..."
"ARRRRGGHH!"
*Finally after all the tedium, gets established* "Ah, finally... Now what? Where's the f**** last Fragment for the Mobile Vehicle Bay?"
*Stalkers BiteTM*
"ARRRGGHHH, F--K IT ALL!"
Truth be told, it's "get Seamoth and go in X direction until you find something"; I really, really want the Story put in and for it to be epic! I want to be 'led' to all of the Wrecks and Fragments within by notes, data caches, coordinates sent by distressed people through nothing but your tiny Comm. Relay, or have the Scanner Room pick up a "Large Metallic Mass" and drop a signal on your HUD. I want to find a crushed, abandoned Cyclops somewhere in the depths, its insides spattered with blood and burn marks, a corrupted PDA detailing the final, terrifying moments of its crew. I want to free the great Sea Emperor and have him be... as friendly as he can be, I guess, yet his thoughts utterly alien, only able to speak via the Warpers and even they use gestures that we have to learn; a wrong word and they might attack you. And I want to build a base - small and humble, or huge nuclear powered behemoth - and make it my own with a jumble of 'clutter' furniture, beds, decorative items.
We're getting there, I know, but... come on, v1.0!

Personally, I'm playing Stellaris in the meantime.
Same here Do not play too much Subnautica, it is not the kind of game where you can start a new game and expect something different each time.
