Playing with a FOV of 40

Playing with a reduced FOV of 40 is amazing. Yes, you lose your periphery vision BUT everything has a much much better sense of scale. I've felt for a while that the default view makes everything looks smaller than they actually are in relation to the player model, and this seems to fix it. The loss of the your periphery vision actually enhances the experience and makes me dive like I would in real life: closer to cliffsides and landmarks than just floating in open ocean giving much better immersion! And to be honest this isn't really the type of game I feel where you need such a wide FOV (on a 16:9 display anyway).

If anyone hasn't tried it, they should and see how it suits them. If you have, what did you think?

Maybe it has something to do with the goggles IRL that takes away your peripheral vision as well?
