Floaters on Subs

Not sure if this is a bug as such, but I got into my Cyclops the other day and as soon as I accessed the controls, the stern immediately and very rapidly started rising so that the bow was almost facing straight down and I was unable to submerge or control the sub at all. Thankfully I managed to jump up and reach the hatch before I became unable to exit. As I swam to the surface it became apparent that the cause was a couple of floaters that had attached themselves to the stern.

This makes sense, was very dramatic and I actually like the idea of having to occasionally check your Cyclops for things attaching themselves to the hull, with them affecting performance (speed, buoyancy etc) and maybe hull integrity of not removed, but my issue is the scale of effect two floaters had and the fact that it only took effect when accessed the controls rather than before.

Is this intended?

This is actually working as intended. Or at least to an extent, I had one floater attached to my Cyclops and could only drive on the surface because it dragged me up. Interestignly the Cyclops does seem to weigh less than the rocks, and there these problems stem from. It can get quite dangerous, but I believe it is supposed to be this way.

Yeah, that makes sense as unless your sub is ascending or descending it should be neutrally buoyant, unlike a rock. On the other hand, I'm not sure that one or two floaters should be able to prevent you from descending at all.

The other issue is that had I not jumped for the hatch when I did, I don't think I'd have been able to exit my sub at all, as it ended up almost vertical, making the view-port the floor with the exit hatch too high to reach.

Ah I never thought of that, does gravity work in the cyclops? I thought you would just be aligning yourself with it. Intriguing, as the cyclops is the only thing that has the potential to swivel on a horizontal axis, so that the floor is indeed the roof.

I still wonder how these floaters actually gain access to your Cyclops, I can not recall running into a rock, but I can not be sure of course. Would you have to touch it, or can they actually move?

The effect is really noticeable, I wonder if this is something that the Devs intend to look into.

Yup. If you access the controls then you stay attached to the floor as normal, but as soon as you let go, gravity asserts itself and you end up standing on the viewport.

Well my Cyclops had just been parked near my base before I got in, so I assume they just spawned on it at some point (as they do on rocks) as I've never seen one move.
