Was exploring in the underwater islands biome when I encountered a massive island.

I decided to explore around it when I encountered these exactly in the centre.

I can hear you shouting behind your screens "Why are there smokers on a land mass which isn't even linked to the planet?" Well I also asked this question myself. So I decided to investigate.

After narrowly escaping that fucking bone shark, I saw something on the side of the island.

A cave opening? WTF! I decided to go inside...

The entire island is hollow!

It also seems to have a central core where theoretically the heat is coming from.

But that still doesn't explain how the heat is produced. So I decide to get back on track and head down. But the island seems to just go on...

And on...

And... OMFG!

It's NOT an island! It's linked to the ground!

Looking around, I noticed a number of heat vents arranged in a circle around the pillar.

Then it dawned on me. There must be a source of heat inside the base of the pillar, and it's climbing up the pillar right through the core of the island andstraight towards the top, exiting in the form of smokers.

Thank you all for joining me on this scientific expedition.
