ideas for respawning resources.

We have the aquarium to breed fish, and the ocean respawns them now. thanks to the devs putting that in. We have the water filtration machine that gives us unlimited water and salt.
We just need a way of getting the other stuff....

The bio reactor doesn't have a by product of the reaction? Lithium would be a good one for that seeing that Lithium is found in trace amount in numerous plants, plankton, and invertebrates. so if we put in something like a fish, corral or a plant of some kind. we would get a piece(s) of lithium out of the whole process.

Quartz makes glass.... well sand is also a form of quartz...there for sand could be used to make glass... it just needs to be heated at a high temp.
why not make it so if we can build a thermal or nuclear reactor. we can make another room were we can extract sand from the ocean floor and heat it until we make quartz/glass. this room requires the thermal or nuclear reactor and must be placed on the ocean floor.

now, if we can get limestone and other nodes to be respawnable after say a week in game.

also since we need tons of titanium to build many things.... those wrecks out there littering the ocean.... we have a laser cutter... how about letting us break down smaller pieces of the wreck(s) (not the actual wreck, just the scrap laying around it) into scrap metal.

i'd love to recycle those abandoned bases scattered everywhere and those garbage inside big wreckings... also get a 60% of materials...

We would need something like the habitat builder for wreckage. Which could disassemble things even if the are no longer in working condition. You already can 100% recycle anything you can build with your habitat builder. Why not implement a tool to use on those wrecks as another raw materials source?

Oh and by the way sand was used as a source for glass early in the game but they changed that. Using sand to fabricate glass and or quartz would be great.

It makes sense that you would turn to the wreckage all over the place to recycle it for useful things. I wanted to use the welder to close all of the holes in the wreckage I found near the thermal vent (SW of Aurora) and run an air pipe down into it. Instant base, with furniture, but can't do that. All those cargo boxes scattered around, girders, forklifts, etc. Ought to be able to scavenge raw materials from them, if nothing else.
