<div class="IPBDescription">Or How Long should items stay?</div> Heath and Ammo Lasts a bare 30 seconds before dissapring, Understanble otherwiser you could have a field of heath in your base making somone simply unkillable
But what about Guns and and such?
Should Pistols/Weilders/Mines/LMG's/HMG's/Shotguns/ and Gernade Launchers also be on that same 30 second timer?
For some reason it simply feels to short to me, I mean as it is now if I'm a HMG Light Armor and four Fades are attacking the Homebase while the rest of my team is off elsewhere taking back Hive 2, Or prehaps defending Hive 1 from yet more Fades, Or off Golfing it does not matter which.... Any often cases, normal three, four times a round, myself and a Shotguner or a HA will dance with some Fades kill maybe one, then lose the person with the Weapon and me run after the fade and kill it then come back JUST to see that Weapon dissaper, From a Balancing point of view it often happens when Aliens got Hive 3 Back and start the Home-Base Charge and the Marines often loose as they are assulting from Multiple Angles and when one man falls another can't get thier and not die or find a lull to rush out and grap his equipment
So I wondered, who would realy be opposed to rasing the timer on weapon dissapering to 45 seconds or prehaps a full mintue?

No disappear timer, but allow dropped weapons to be destroyed fairly quickly.
But when a marine fall, the guns or whatever he was using when he dies should stick to the ground to be pick up by an other marine or the same on his way back. Maybe person will say that it unbalance the game. So make the lying weapons destroyable by the aliens as someone says earlier.

if the aliens could destroy fallen weapons then making those weapons last for minutes would be good. I'm sure a few skulks would use the weapons as bait for ambush too.

If marines dropped their weapons and they stayed for minutes, it really reduces the effect of killing a marine.
Extend Droped Weapons Timer to 2 Mintues AND Gourges/Skulks can get resources from "eating" the downed items(How hard would it be to code?) The Gourge "dissolves" the items in question while the Skulk simply bites then a fair amount of times(Say nine) and gets back a fraction of resources given, Here's where Balance comes in, Cubby's wubsy(<!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> The Gourge Fokes) Gets a FRACTION Back of the resources while the Skulk being its not designed for this gets back only 1 Resource no matter the item while gourges get back 20%(Not alot but enough)
So if Mr Skulk by himself eats four marines thier droped LMG's or Pistols given him a total of four extra resources, And normaly gourges would get one as well(Lets pretend LMG's and Pistols Cost five but its taken out of the Marines Paycheck <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> )
However it becomes intresting to start munching on Shotguns as you would get four, or Weilders and mines would yeild 2 each while things like HMG's and Gernade Launchers would be major boosts providing 5 and 8 Respectly... nothing to sneeze at
So Skulks get 1 Resource no matter what they "eat" be it weilder or gernade launcher while Gourges get a fraction of the cost
This does two things, One not only does it increase Marines to stick togther yet agian(Run off and your not only not helping your helping the enemy!) But it also makes it easier for BOTH sides to come back after Loosing that Second Hive or Letting the Aliens get back Hive 3
