It would be pretty cool if there is a biome a great distance from the starting point that holds an intelligent species that you can interact with. Im not sure how much money and time it would take to put this idea in the game but you could learn how to communicate with them and even learn survival tactics and trade with them. theres so many possibilities with this idea but it would also be a big part in the game.
