ITEM command glitch

so i was doing an experiment to see if a baby stalker would fit into a small aquarium so i did the command ITEM stalker. instead of giving me a stalker in my inventory it spawned one inside my seabase. not only was it a stalker in my base it was bigger than usual! when you do an item command with an entity it shouldnt spawn it. please fix this. it would be very convinient. maybe even make it quick spell so you can type titan and it would give you titanium. just a thought?
