What's that creepy sound

Recently I was playing sub and I've noticed the strage sound in the far ocean when I was behind the Aurora and in the safe shallows. I've failed to identify it as I never heard this ambient noise. It sounded as a whale with a lower htz and very large in size. Does anyone know what this could be? A glitch, a bug, just a noise that the devs what to intimate me with I giant whale. Does anyone else hear this too.

Chances are you're hearing the Reaper Leviathan growling/roaring, but he's been lurking by the Aurora for like... Ever now xD

If he wasn't roaring before, then THAT would be a bug - or you were playing a very old version that was reaperless.

Yes, Reefback is the one that sounds like an emo cow that just got dumped.

I've come to find it's sound quite comforting, because Reefbacks and Reapers never occupy the same area.

Aaaah right the Reefback, I was imagining him being a little closer to the Aurora when I made my post. I'd rather hear a reefback moaning than the Reaper roaring!

I feel at ease when I hear the Reefback. And there's one noise that scares me more than the roar of a Reaper Leviathan. That noise... is the hissing of a fuse wire burning very close to me...
