How Does Team Side Affect The Different Sides

<div class="IPBDescription">I'm curious</div> In my experience, it seems that when the teams are about 4~6 on each side (even), the aliens seem to win more often. Im guessing this is because the loss of a combat unit is more of a disadvantage with smaller.
In larger games, 8~12 a side, the marines seem to do a lot better.
Im guessing (I haven't actually played in many big games) that in larger games, the marines start to get disadvantaged again, as the commander gets overworked.
This isn't very important, but Im I think its interesting. I can think of many different reasons why marines do worse in smaller games (inexperienced commanders being more confident to give it a go for one), but I think the way the sides are designed means they're should be some significant differences at different team sizes.
Sorry, I seem to have started rambling again.

Respawn times. Aliens can only ever have 3 spawn points (and at that point they should start to win anyway), marines can build as many as they need for a small cost compared to the 80 needed for a new hive. In the larger games more people are dying so ques are built up, the marines will probably have 3-5 respawn points where as the aliens will likely have 1 or 2.
Also the marines can do the destress deacon which is very handy in larger games coz u get all your marines back instantly
