Xbox Controller Mapping

I greatly appreciate the addition of controller support, but the mapping options in the menu don't seem to work. When I try to map the right bumper, it maps left on the D-Pad. And when I reset to default, the reload key becomes blank, and since the mapping doesn't work, I can't reset it to (X).
So now I'm reinstalling since that seems to be the only thing to do to get everything back.

I find that the XBox One Controller doesn't work for me when playing on SN Steam. I tick the controller option in the control settings menu and everything just goes haywire. Controller doesn't work, mouse movements cause screen to flicker. :(

I have experienced that as well. They have said that the controller doesn't function in the menus yet, so that's probably the cause of that.
However when I managed to start a game with the controller, I found that the movement and camera sticks worked and.....that's about it. Controlling the fire extinguisher at the start of the game was truly an experience. Suffice to say, the button input was delayed and just...wrong. (Left trigger to use the extinguisher?)

I'm experiencing the same issues on Xbox 360 controller + OSX. The whole thing goes haywire if the control setting is engaged on the menu, faulty mapping, ect...

Any update on the issue? Or timeframe for a fix?

I'm seeing this too, updated to latest experimental build on OSX Sierra, late 2015 Macbook pro, and still happening.

Wired Xbox 360 controller doesn't work at all in menus (known bug I think), but more importantly is completely whack for actual gameplay. Default mapping looks something like this:

    - Left thumbstick controls camera (only thing that works in a sane manner)
    - Right thumbstick up/down moves camera left/right
    - Moving the right thumbstick left uses item (...), moving it right does nothing
    - Left bumper moves camera down, then it bolts upright and you can't move it back down
    - No idea what anything else does because by this point my screen was borked

And as mentioned, remapping things doesn't work at all. Left trigger recorded as right thumbstick etc etc.

Seeing this as well a year later. Anything like a timeline on fixing this? Fox XBOX controller support on UNITY in OSX, there is this library github.com/JISyed/Unity-XboxCtrlrInput, which is specifically for this use case.

XBOX One / Mac: Controller Handling is a Mess!

XBOX One Wireless Controller (with and without wire ;-) )

    MacBook Pro, installed
    Xbox 360 Controller Driver
    Version 0.16.5

    Downloaded from:
    github.com/360Controller/360Controller/releases

Controller, both wired and Bluetooth, work fine under Steam Big Picture and other games (XCOM). With driver on, wired works. With driver off, only Bluetooth is recognized by Steam (and then the game).

The game doesn't recognize the main buttons ABXY. Even in the start menu I can toggle between the options but not confirm any of these.
The view (right stick) works only horizontally, vertical view movements (stick up/down) are not recognized. I didn't test the other buttons, for the game became unplayable. I didn't even have a chance to extinguish the fire…

Tomorrow I will test it with my other controller (XBOX 360 wired), but no hope.
I've tried the controller options (Normal/360/One) without success.
    Even PS4…

Tomorrow I will also try controller mapping via Steam, maybe this helps…
