Scanner Room Camera Drones

I did a quick search so I don't think anyone has made this suggestion yet, but apologies if they have. I think it would be a good idea for the camera drones to appear like beacons on the HUD. This way if you didn't want to wait for the scanner, and especially in light of the fact that the HUD upgrade doesn't work properly, you could send the drones out, leave them nearby the resource, and then track them like you would a signal or a vehicle. I know you could just find them from memory since the range isn't that great, but it seems like it would be some easy functionality to implement. Thoughts?
