All life and minerals disappearing

After a couple of attempts at playing this game I've run into the same glitch twice. After about three or four hours gameplay suddenly all life disappears from the ocean. Little fish, Gasopods, Sharks etc. There's just nothing left. Also all the rocks with minerals and materials in disappear too. The only thing that doesn't disappear is the plant life e.g. kelp/mushrooms. Can anyone shed any light on how I might avoid this? Originally I thought I'd overfished/mined but even using the little jet power module and swimming until the battery died I can't find a single thing :(

    sometimes when I break those rocks with materials in them the material would disappear so i wind up mashing the button when i break them to get the material

    Oh that's great Obraxis thanks! Any workaround on the xbox for now? I love the concept for the game and until everything disappears I have a great time haha :)

    It's a known bug. Save, exit the game and reload and everything will be fine. You can't just go to main menu on xbox, you need to load another game then back into Subnautica to clear it totally.

    Same thing is happening to me. Even when I quit to dashboard and boot up game some minerals and all fishes disappear after like ten minutes of play. Keeps happening all the time. Is unplayable for me. I just bought game 8/13/16 I first started playing survival for 6hrs but hunger thirst meter weren't fun at all. I am currently playing freeform xbox one probably 2hrs in and this is where I get the disappearing minerals and fishes.

    After adding a few (3-4) last patches my Cyclopus is diappearing after reloading game... I dont drink alcohol while driving it, and so i cant crash em that forget after all about it... i promise! :)

    Somehow the game is working now. I rebooted the game and when I saw fish and minerals around I saved the game. Maybe the save saved my game. If that even makes sense. This game is fun and has great potential to be an amazing game. Keep up the great work mates.
