Dimming lights in base

So how bout it? I find that when I am in the Cyclops I am always dimming the lights. I would like to do the same in my base, particularly at night as certain Biomes can be very beautiful at night. I would like to see out side my base at night and let the natural luminescence of the biome light things.

    I absolutely agree with you. This feature really needs to be added especially since the powernap update where you can actually "sleep". Don't know about you guys but I wouldn't sleep without turning the lights off.

    I want more plants that actually - really - give off their own light; the only one that really does is the Creepvine, so I can turn off my base lights and work only by the light of my bioluminescent gardens!

    Me, I'd like a proper sleep mechanic where you have to sleep otherwise it starts to effect you badly like say for example if you don't sleep for 2 to 3 days you start to hear Audible hallucinations and then any longer than that, you start to visually hallucinate and it effects your sanity, so yeah I say bring in a base control panel where you can shut off the lights and monitor your power at the station complete with a HUD chip and of course at night you sleep but i doubt that will happen

    I, too would like dimmable lights. It would be nice to appreciate the day night circle of the surroundings or of the deeper zones per se. It's a pity that so little can be seen of the darker and illuminated zones if one is comfortably sitting inside :-)

    +1 for a base control panel WITH lighting control (similar to the seamoth mod panel model or even something like the reactor if there were enough functions)

    We've been asking for this since forever. This suggestion is surely as old as the Cyclops docking to base suggestion :smiley:

    Lol not surprising...only got the game recently. And yeah, I saw a photo somewhere around with the Cyclops docked to base just underneath the helm at the front. Though it was the coolest thing ever, loaded up the game to try and just had disappointment.

    Both features are must haves imo.

    Why not simply have the ability to create a control panel, using the habitat builder, that can be used to name the base that will use the HUD on your PDA to dim lights, verify reactors are functioning, power levels, etc.

    The player should be able to craft a console room or something to control the lights and such.
