New update new dangers and questions.

Ok i haven't got around and look for the specifics but here what i noticed right from the start. the creatures are aggressive as hell. I planted my base between all four biomes. red grass two kelp and shallows. I usually would farm some silver and most of the sandstone is gone. I saw these huge chunks sitting all over the place. some look like silver some a mix of gold and salt..but no real deposits of ore...these huge pieces can be pulled out with the gun but i got no tool hard enough to break it. even the big salt piece is impossible to break.
So i tried the laser cutter while getting pissed off at the hoard of bitters and sand sharks wanting me for lunch. so i broke out the heavy artillery and came back with my seamoth and systematically used 3 cells and nuked the entire place 2 kilometers wide unfortunately my alien tank containing my food got zapped and with most of the red carpet area full of salt i saved my food for later use. Anyway... what tool can cut these big pieces and it seems there also quarts lying around that's impossible to get ...anybody got an idea? wait... the prawn? oh man and i still have to find that last 2/3 for the cyclops...pff

@Skidmark The big chunks are for when you get the new P.R.A.W.N. Suit, it has mining capability.
