I'll go out and collect salvage metal until my inventory is 100% completely full. I check my inventory and see that I have 8 of them. I go back to my base and convert it all to titanium, but notice that I only converted 7. I check my inventory and sure enough I have 28 titanium and 4 empty spaces in my inventory.
This has happened to me numerous times in the last 2 patches.
