The only Thing i miss this time

Hello all together.
I am new here in the World from Subnautica, and i am helpless lost in this amazing Ocean
But one Thing i miss hard:
it s a Map.
i have in Mind there some Places, but i dont know how far i can go
or how big the World is.
most of the Time, i come back to the same things (like the Plateau of Beginning near the Aurora)
the other Things lets say ~ 2 - 4 Km circle around, are "okay" but later i only see Sand
and nothing inside.
is there more or some special Places to go or something ?
Also i was on the Big Riff (for Alu Hydroxid) to find, and after the Riff it only falls to the Deep, with a large Stone Wall, nothing more found
goes up to 1700 Meter in the Deep, nothing to see.
so what i really want to have, is a map, to know there i am.
i dont know really if there is coming "terrain" or if i only "drive in the deep / or in a black screen for Eternaty"

Hey man! There are maps of the game which can be found with a quick google search. I do warn you however that IMO this will subtract from some of the WOW factor when discovering some of the unique areas. There is a lot of areas which can be easy to miss but for me that's part of the fun.
The "Fall to the deep" is the current edge of the map, but keep in mind the map is an irregular shape, so heading some directions will get you to the edge quicker. This nothingness is referred to as "The Void". Perhaps some of this will be filled with new areas in the future, but some of it is also to remain as a void. I don't think the Devs have fully decided what they are gonna do here but last I heard they are gonna fill it with two creature types (I won't mention what they are called).
