Blueprints for frivolous items.

We all like frivolous things sometimes. Would it be unrealistic to have blueprints for some frivolous items in or around the Aurora?

For example; We have posters and stuffed toys.
But what about a dart board. Or a game console with some minigames that give relaxation.
Or a submarine like the Mako ( http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/144883/submarine-idea-mako-with-new-3d-renders-updated-post#latest )
Or a toy light saber that gives off light and can be used like a battery powered flare.
Some items could be totally pointless but most could be re-purposed or have some value to the player.
A mini-fridge to keep drinks cool could have some positive effect on the player by having cool drinks.
Maybe a coffee maker and a machine that synthesizes coffee or tea from local items.

Any thoughts or additional ideas?

Perhaps the mini-fridge will be able to keep cooked foods, fruits, and vegetables from going bad so quickly.

I just thought, like, in real survival situations, there's not specifically stuff you need. There's whatever is there.
If you're trying to store food and you find a refrigerator, you'd use it. If you find a vending machine full of snacks, you bust that bad boy open and you now have long lasting food for when the fish don't bite.
You find a supercar just sittin there...you drive it. Then pillage all the useful items like leather, wire & rubber hoses and leave the rest behind.

I agree with you on that, but what's the point of scanning chairs/beds/trash cans/vending machines to craft if they don't provide a purpose? Yes, the bed and chair do stop passive hunger/thirst loss but that's not a practical feature; since we apparently don't need sleep at all I never bother to craft either.

Obviously they don't want to create a situation where you're surviving on junk food instead of fish, rendering survival a moot point. It chould offer a random snack once a day, that could give like 4% food or 2% water; or give an short "energy boost" when swimming.

Speaking of impractical items, I wanna be able to scan the forklift that's found in the Aurora and put it in my base! It would have no real use but I think it would look sweet sitting next to my Filtration machines. At the very least, let us scan it for Titanium or a Wiring Kit... :(

You bring up a good point with the forklift... Once we have a laser cutter, why can't we start cutting chunks off all the big scraps and stuff to use for titanium. And some of the other items could yield other materials. In that way we would be recycling the mess of the crash site and reducing waste pollution.

Glad to know I'm not the only one that wants that forklift.

Story isnt complete so we don't know what our role was aboard the Aurora. We may have been one of the passengers and our goal is just to survive, but we may also have been one of the scientists. Scientists need a lab (or at least I build a lab anyway) along with a lot of things for study and research as may have been the original mission. For that I need a chair and a desk at the very least. That big shelf that you can't grab in one of the Safe Shallows wrecks with a trolley would be ideal for specimen storage, but I can't grab that either. A bed to rest and an area for entertainment are both important for psychiatric health, both for improving your work rate and quality (in a scientist rp) as well as helping you not go insane and offing yourself just to make it end. For the forklift, have you seen the size of the supposed sea emperor eggs? I don't think you're going to be picking those things up.

Really good idea. And for the forklift, there maybe be a good use of it, like what Klaus did here:

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=-oB6DN5dYWo

And I don't know why the hell my video posts only show the links, but not the video.

Anyway, using the forklift on some animals...sushi...
