Seamoth disappeared underground

So my seamoth disappeared underground. I think it happened as I was exiting the seamoth. I was in the kelp forest at 100m and was about to explore the cave under a wreck. The beacon kept indicating its position. I saved and loaded several times, but it was still underground. So I spawned a terraformer and was able to tunnel down to it. This is on the 366 something stable build form August.

Ive had something similar happened to me recently. 2 stalkers came to hang around very close to my base. Sometimes i leave my seamoth close to the hatch of the base sometimes a lil farther. After exitting my base i once realized that my seamoth was nowhere to be found.

I could see its beacon bleeping under the world and was really wondering how it ended up all the way down there. After using a terraformer to recover it i left it at the same place as before, just a lil weee bit farther, and looked at it for awhile. Didnt take long to see the stalkers playing with it, effectively pushing it under the world roughly 100m down lol. Those lil buggers!
