Hanging at the load screen

After one issue is addressed and removed another one arises but with Subnautica being in Early Access I can understand this; but it is still a pain in the backside, now when I start up my game it loads up to the title screen just fine but when I either load one of my old saves or make a new one it goes through the motions just fine up until the loading world part after the Aurora has loaded it hangs at 52 seconds on the loading world bit and does not go any further even using the -vrmode none command

and since the game does not crash, just hangs at the loading world screen, I haven't got an error report available at the moment
any feedback or input would be greatly appreciated
