Dear Devs,
I quite enjoy Subnautica, but I have a few suggestions.
1. Base control! Add a control panel for your base functions, so you can control power distribution maybe even add day/night auto on/off, door control maybe lighting etc. Nothing is worse then when you come into your base at night and there's no air because the water purifier sucked the power dry! Also when adding anything to your base all the doors shut, now this can be a good thing if you have low durability because it will lock off the offending leaks, but it can get very tiresome opening doors every time you add something to your base.
2. The ability to let go of your controls in the Seamoth! I mean just to look at your PDA or change out a battery would be awesome.
3. Beacon colors! Adding a few color boxes under the beacon label that you can check or uncheck allowing for you to select a color for the beacon. Then on your HUD the ability to toggle colors on or off. So I could see all the red beacons but no blue or green and purple but no others. This would allow for filtering out the MASSIVE amount of beacons just pinging on your map, which I have and I'm sure most people have.
4. Mapping Function! Adding a mapping function to the scanner room, would be awesome! Make it an upgrade so that don't get it too early in the game, have it tie in with the mod you already plug in for the scanner HUD. As for mapping add the Seaglide mapping ability to the modification station, the Seamoth mapping ability to the sonar, and add a mapping ability to the cyclops with a mod. View the map either through the scanner room or in the PDA.
5. Cyclops dock! This would be very nice for charging the cyclops from the base as well as being able to transfer items more efficiently.
6. The need for sleep! With the addition of beds adding a need for sleep to survival or hardcore mode would give it that extra feel of realism.
These are just a few of my ideas, please post your feedback or any ideas of your own and I will add them to the list (with credit of course). Thanks!

2. Much needed; really don't see why you can't access your inventory while in the Seamoth.
3. Might be nice. I'd also really like to see the option to toggle the viewing of Beacons off entirely, should you have a number of them and not want them to show up in screenshots or etc.
4. The devs don't seem to want mapping in the game period, and to be honest it's not needed anyway with how small the map is.
5. There's been talk about docking the cyclops to your base eventually, but I don't know when it'll come around if it's still on the To-Do list (Trello shows an early concept of docking the sub to your base even)
6. Would be nice in Hardcore at the very least. Could use the chair in your lifepod as an early and inefficient means of resting for the beginning portions of the game.
