In-Game Subnautica Map

I think there should be a map in-game. Some kind of GPS tech that you can make that will help show you where biomes are placed. Something that is filled in as you explore the areas. It is nearly impossible at the moment to try and navigate the game without reliance on the Map on the Wiki

This has been suggested many times, and the devs have always said 'No' so as cool as a map would be, it's unlikely to ever happen.

Besides, a map's not really needed given how small the map is anyway. Only takes a playthrough to memorize where the biomes are, and then the need for a map becomes exponentially less useful after each game. Remembering where you put your base is what Beacons are for, so I never leave to start up shop without one, and the Aurora's a constant landmark that can be seen from anywhere in the ocean.

If the game was much, much larger or a randomly generated one, then a map would be much more necessary.
