Level not loading

I want to share problem that i have encountered in game, that caused me to freak out and nearly faint.
At one point in the game - after I saved and loaded game - there was no last 20 minute progress. And when I traveled some distance from home-base - level stopped loading. No land, only cropped border.
I freaked out, reloading game was not working, I thought all precious progress was lost. But then I realized that there was no disk space on drive with game left. Freeing some space solved the problem.
But it's really strange that there was no error on screen, no warning and etc. I think it should be included in game, because I've nearly had a heart attack XD
