I get frame rate drops but someone with a similar PC build doesnt get frame rate drops

I bought subnautica yesterday on sale and to my surprise I am greeted with lovel frame rate drop. Dont get me wrong the game is in great standing but I just cannot get through the game with this issue. I swim towards a fish to grab it I get frame rate drop. It usually freezes for a moment then comes back and I check the counter and it goes from 100 to 35 back to 100. I can run every other game on steam fine except this one. and to make me think it is my pc issue someone with a similar PC build doesnt get frame rate drops. I dont understand if it doesnt happen on any other game and I know someone with a similar PC build who it doesnt happen to then why is it happening to me? I would really love some help to sort this out.

Frame rates have been a problem for the past two updates, that's for sure. But I wouldn't let that detract from the game. Eventually, UWE will straighten out these hiccups.

Another thing, have you or your friend built a base yet? Bases severely add to frame rate drops, that might be the problem.

And if neither of you have built bases, and you are positive on your PC being at fault, give me a second...

Have a look in my sig and use HWiNFO64 or Speccy on both systems, and compare your specs with your friend's. What are the differences?

EDIT: Apparently I can sense myself being summoned before it's even posted...

Right I will be sure to look into that and I now dont think its a pc issue. How come though someone with similar specs is having smooth gameplay?
