The longer I play, the more trouble I'm having with the game running - 12/27/2016

Now, before I rant and rave, again, please know I do adore and love this game. This is why it is so infuriating when I cannot even move in the game in order to play it. Today, I went to build the moon pool. Guess what kept happening as I was trying to place it? This has never happened before, and I don't know what you did to alter it, but trying to build the moon pool was hanging up the game. Even crashing it. No, no reports, because it was a complete crash. It was there, and then it hangs, then blip. I'm back to my desk top.
Do you have any idea how annoying it is to move a meter and have to save? Regardless if swimming, or in the Seamoth? Yep. Doesn't matter what I'm near, the game hangs, for about two minutes. I've been timing it.
Oh, and trying to build the PRAWN after making the moon pool. More crashing. Having the PRAWN suit, trying to get it or the mini sub docked, more hanging, then snap, poof, game is gone. Trying to travel with the prawn suit is even worse. It is a baby step, save, try another, crash after hanging for 5 minutes, if not longer. Yes, I'm timing it.
I am so tired of uninstalling and re-installing all my Nvidia, sound system, and Subnautica itself in the attempt to fix the problem myself since the mantra of the bugs goes over and over again about validating you have everything up to date. Yes, I validate the Steam download is sound. Each, and every time. For the last couple of weeks, I have gone from enjoying the game, being able to sail with the lag and bugs, to just not wanting to play or explore. I mean, how can I? I manage to save/move myself finally to look for the last base of the Degassi crew, and I'm literally stuck at 300 meters. I can't swim out, I can't move my prawn suit without hanging and blip, crashed. Sure, there is a warper close by, but it never hiccuped the game for me before.
Look, I don't know what to tell you. I don't have any crash reports to give you due to how the game just flips itself off. It is as though the game goes, oh, you played up to this point, where you have a base, moon base, made a suit, yah, go away now. My windows 10 is up to date, every program involved with the game is up to date. Everything is at peak game levels. I have no trouble playing my other steam games, including the Borderlands series. Somewhere, in the codes, with your new additions, enlarging creatures and who knows what else, the game is pitching a fit. I know you are doing your best. the game is a beautiful, and until recently, very enjoyable game with a great story line. I don't know, perhaps you need to consider putting in zone lines to solve the issue?
With all the scripts running for the animals, the increased amount of details and layers, the game is coming unglued. If it isn't with what you are adding in, well, then we can only look at the engine, and yes, I understand you have no control over it. I want to keep playing this game.
I have nearly 700 hrs clocked with this beautiful ocean game. I've played long enough to know how to avoid being eaten alive by the Reaper. How to fight off the warpers and the squid crabs without any real weapons, meaning the rifle. How much energy it takes to run the water purifier, battery chargers of both size, to make food, water, materials, and not have my base go dark. Thanks to your modifications, my base energy needs are down to 300, from the 750. This is running everything, moon pool included.
Please, you need to re-examine how we reach certain points of this beautiful dangerous world. I don't know what is causing it, but clearly, you have a gremlin in your codes. It isn't my PC. I do not have any trouble with other games, and I do play very graphic demanding games. At this rate, I have not even been able to examine the newest zones due to how this game keeps snapping off as I'm attempting to move through it. Since the most recent update, I have even fallen through the Aurora while exploring it. Game parts of wrecks or down life pods, even animals are not where they should be. Couple of days later, trying to check the area again, then they are back, or the missing items have swapped out, returning the wrecks, but removing something else, such as the items we are meant to find/scan. It has become so very frustrating to play this game. Or, as I shared one time, how the crates and items where there, falling to the ground, without the wreck or the life pod. I mean, yah, it is great I'm not seeing these show up 20 meters up in the air, out of reach, above the ocean any longer. It just appears we are having more and more serious bugs, and it is killing the enjoyment of playing in your dangerous ocean.

If you want you can post your output_log.txt file (probably have to zip & upload it to Google Drive, and use a sharing link). It's in Subnautica\Subnautica_Data\
But I'm pretty sure clearing your cache will help a little bit. When you first notice stuttering, save, clear cache, and come back.
To make things much much easier on yourself, make sure your base doesn't clip any terrain at all, then you don't have to worry about excluding your base cells from the cache clear. (And, they are removing terraforming anyways, as I said).
