Rock puncher?

The rock puncher is a concept created for Subnautica with the original intent of terraforming the land. When terraforming was removed, the rock puncher was put on the "chopping block." Fans who loved the design then came up with other solutions: the rock puncher, instead of punching rocks, could punch bases, mineral deposits, or other life forms. Do you think rock puncher should be added using an alternative solution?

    I wonder if it's possible to implement terraforming only for small customized blocks of land, on top of the normal, non-terraformable terrain, without affecting performance.

    Certainly. Even if it can't actually affect the terrain like it was originally meant to, I'd be happy to see a new creature. Maybe the rock puncher could "mine" ore deposits?
