Can you upload your entire saved game folder for the devs to review, and then clear your cache? Instructions for both are in my sig ▼ that-a way.

I did just that. The save file (it was the slot0000, the only one), the dxdiag and the output_log file. The dropbox link is to download all this info. I already unistalled subnautica, together with any lingering files and folders that were left.

So you don't want to continue with that saved game? If so, then a quick re-install and you should be set, I think. If not, cache cleaning instructions (there's even a video) are also in my sig.

Unistalling and reinstalling will be a first for me. I used the unistaller from iobit this time, instead of the steam unistall. Let's see how that goes again.

Continuing the save wouldn't have changed a thing. This isn't the first time that happened to me. the Broken areas continue broken.

Might want to run a chkdsk on your drive. Instructions for that also in my sig.

The only way to temp fix is to clear the save's cache (look in 0x6's sig). Usually when this happens to me, it's permanent on that save until you move it over to a new save file or clear the cache. (both of which have unintended consequences.)

Chkdsk done. No errors were found.
Subnautica is at 96% downloaded. Let's try again
