Running Subnautica on Mac help?

Hi
So I recently downloaded Subnautica and it always gets stuck on the loading screen(Yes I have read the other thread about that)
Is the problem my computer requirments? The memory is well over, but the gpu and processor are just a bit under the requirements.
Any suggestions? I've tried reinstalling several times and everytime I open Subnautica and create a new game, it freezes on the loading screen while every now
and then the screen blinks. And yes, I've tried waiting, restarting, checking the validation thing, etc.

    What are your specs?

And, if there's a Mac equivalent of forcing d3d9, I'd try that.

Please post your Mac specs, but bear in mind if you're below the system requirements there might not be much you can do.

    The specs are:
Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Memory: 8 GB
    Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9400

I checked multiple 'Can I run it' websites and they all say that I'm fine.
    Maybe it's the gpu?

What generation of C2D is it, I mean there is a difference between early C2D's and the latest ones, but that entire CPU family is quite old. Even the Core 2 Duo SU9xxx series is over 8 years old.

And that NVIDIA GeForce 9400 isn't a gaming card at all. I mean my HD5870 is old and can run Subnautica, because it is a high end gaming card from it's era. But comparing your card to mine, you can see it has a serious lack in power!

Do you have Windows installed with Boot Camp? If so, how does it run under Windows? How does it run under Windows with the force d3d9 option checked?

I'm not sure what generation of C2D it is, and I'm working on installing windows currently. It would be helpful to have a mac equivalent of force d3d9

Mac doesn't use D3D, that's proprietary Windows tech. It can be reverse engineered, see the WINE project, but Apple won't touch that with a 10-foot pole, because Mac. (Remember how long it took them to put more than one button on their mice? I do.)
