Game does not start under MAC OS X after the Precursor update

Hello all,

i haven't played Subnautica in a while, but after the Precursor update i wanted to "dive" into it again. But then the game would not start anymore. Up to now, this never happened and i could play the game up to the bone field update.

When i start the game, the cursor turns actually into the green arrow known from the starting page in Subnautica, then a window appears with the Subnautica title on top, black background and the mac cursor ball turning.... and nothing more... i waited already 5 - 10 minutes to see if something would happen, but no change. Under the Apple Menu and then Force Quit Subnautica is listed with (not responding) and i need to force quit it.

Now, here is what i done so far:

verified the game cache

deleted all local files and reinstalled the game

My Macbook Pro was still with OS X "El Capitan" and updated to OS X "Sierra"

Fresh install of MAC OS X Sierra on an 27" iMAC, fresh install of Steam and Subnautic... still the same sympthom.

On the same iMAC i have a Windows 10 installed and under Windows the game is running ok.

Some curious observations though, my wife has a MAC BookPro with OS X Sierra as well and it is running... how could that be? i do not understand, as long it has nothing to do with Steam user specific files maybe(?)

I'm at the end of my wisdom, maybe someone has an idea or similar problem?

I posted a log file to the support. the only suspicious lines to me were these:

(Filename: Line: 375)

Shader 'Marmoset/Building/Self Illum Bumped Specular IBL': fallback sh
ader 'Marmoset/Mobile/Self-Illumin/Bumped Specular IBL' not found

the log stops after this also, no more entries....
