Steam finally gets official method to move games from one location to another

Article here. Link to the old method is in the article as well. What it's useful for: moving games around. Moving Subnautica to SSD. Moving Subnautica back to the normal hard disk after terrain streaming is fixed and the file size is optimized.

I had an update about an hour ago that added it (just checked to be sure it was added and it is).

You can always do Steam > Check for Steam client updates in the menu bar.

It seems you need to add an extra steam library folder in Settings->Downloads for it to show up for your games

Hmm. Figures. They should fix that to allow you to create one during the move process (move to > make new Steam Library)

Thx for putting this up here. I moved my Subnautica Folder to my SSD (was not there in the first place because it is a small SSD and my Steam folder is way too big to fit on it). Now it runs so much smoother while I speed around in my Seamoth. Before it used to stutter like crazy even with a decent CPU, 16gb ram and a 1080GTX sometimes it even stuttered into a freeze and crashed soon after.

The day after I moved Subnautica I ordered a 2TB SSD to fit all my games on there.
