Saves After Update?

I know with the previous update that old saves became obsolete, but will that be the same with the upcoming update? I have busted my ass to get every vehicle and even had to make two P.R.A.W.N. suits. (mine fell through the ground XD) I know that with so many buildings being added that its at least a good chance that i will have to start over. That being said, if anyone knows if this much progress is just kind of pointless before the update please hit me up so i can just chill in anticipation.
