Automated Warehouse Structure

I have an idea to reduce the clutter I always have with making layers and layers of cabinets.
I imagine a structure, unique like the moonpool, that acts as a bank for non-tool type items. I think it could be about the same size as the moonpool, but the initial structure could be added upon, like the creature habitats can be increased in size vertically. The Automated Warehouse could have a similar interface as the fabricator, but would be set up as something like, subgroups for base elements(gold/titanium/ect) , Organics (stalkerfangs/seed clusters/ect) and created components (batteries/wiring kits/ect) The biggest issue I have with the game (ignoring occasional bugs and crashes) is having to build and strategically place cabinets. It's super tedious and turns the game into work, which is somthing I think this game should really avoid for the sake of making it seem like you're making real progress with momentum.
I imagine that the structure would have a small connection near the interface panel where a conveyer would bring you, or take, your selected items. Two mechanical arms (like seen on the aurora and in scrap) on ceiling rails would be moving and stacking crates presumably containing your booty. Such a structure being so awesome in it's usefulness would definitely need to be costly, like the cyclops, and i have kinda thought about the requirements.
For first build
8 titanium ingots
4 enameled glass
2 computer chips
1 advanced wiring kit
2 Lubricant
I feel to add layers to increase maximum capacity, maybe by 100 units each? you would build a second layer that would cost less
3 titanium ingots
2 wiring kits
I really am loving the game. when someone first talked to me about minecraft however many years ago, I was like "that's stupid, that's just ugly legos, why wouldn't you have to do that sorta stuff on like, an alien world, and underwater" and through the void, some developer heard me and thought "DUDE I'M GOING TO DO THAT FOR YOU!!!!!" I get really excited whenever I see new content and i've been giving as much feedback as I think is helpful in game for ....well, since shortly after it was available on steam.

Glad I'm not the only one.
It's the reason that I didn't buy Factorio last night, and stopped loading up Fortresscraft:Evolved. Running back and forth between chests to get arbitrary amounts of stuff, and repeating the process thousands of times? That lost any real amusement value back in Minecraft.
I blame the Applied Energistics mod. A few days of setup, a decent storage facility, and it could *just* give me the devices that I wanted, cutting out all the recursive crafting of mid stuff, and carrying it all around in inventory.
