I feel like this has been asked before but after scrolling through some pages of suggestions I didn't really see anything about it. So my idea is (obviously) a map that when you collect pda's or encounter certain events updates it so you can see what a basic topographical map of the area looks like. And I was thinking maybe once you got lower (into the lost river for example) you got a second "level" to the map (like a Legend of Zelda dungeon map) so you can see the lost river and again another level for the lava biome. Just an idea that I think would help a lot with navigating where you've already been. And possibly it would add markers for things like the precursor bases and gun, the Aurora, your life pod, and wherever you have a beacon placed in the world.
