Simple Rooms

The multipurpose room is unavailable at the beginning of the game. That kind of makes sense, but we should be able to build other rooms for specific purposes off of our corridors. For instance, I can scan a bed, but I cannot place it within a corridor. Is there any way we can make a small, corridor-like structure that acts as a bedroom? Something that has one or two bunks in it, but cannot have lockers built anywhere?

Can we have small-rectangular extrusions for the panels of the multipurpose rooms? Something with a set of five or six lockers? How about one that keeps food fresh? A bathroom? A bunk bed?

I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. When you start in Subnautica, it's supposed to give you that sense of, "get-out-there-or-you-are-going-to-die-a-slow-painful-death" so you go out and look for what you need to look for. I mean, they could probably at least add a bed or some sort of bedding inside the life pod, because when it comes to rescuing someone in a lifepod that's on an uncharted planet all alone, there's bound to be extra precautions to ensure the survivor(s) survive as long as possible.

i have an idea that uses the base platform to not only build a base on but you could use it as a power relay station

They should have a foldable survival cot that can be built into a window slot.

I recall someone asking for a room the size of filled-out x-corridor, which seems like a nice inbetween to me. I won't cry if we don't get it, but there's def some things that don't fit corridors that seem off to wait for until the mp room, like small beds and the small aquarium (at least, I didn't get it to fit?).

Zooming in on the bathroom tidbit, there is an old dev post that they'd never include toilets. But honestly, we're a still-you have selected not to use the taste neutralizer-suit and sea treader poop further and I have this empty room in my default base between my bedroom and food garden that I'd love to spend on a fullfledged bathroom.

I'd like that! One of those sideways wall beds. Would nicely make a point of being mindful of available space.

    I must agree.
It can be a nice idea.

Not gonna lie, the fold-cot sounds like a great idea. Beds can be LUXURY items.

    Now that'd be outstanding. :)

But I still say you should be able to just sleep on the floor.

I like the idea of more room options, I have thought about it myself and I think a few additions coud be made without effecting the "survival" aspect. My list of rooms to add would be:

    1) Simple Room - small box room about half the size of the observatory, available in either titanium or glass.

    2) Large Square MP Room - A MP room but square (duh!)

    3) Enlarged Moon Pool - for cyclops docking

    4) Tiered/layered room - A room that will stack and comes prefabricated with a ladder or stairway to join multiple layers.

    5) Command Room - reinforced room that allows control of defensive structures (torpedo launchers, stasis rifle turrets etc)

    6) Escape pod hangar - incase of explosive decompression and the base floods to catastrophic levels you can board a new pod and rapidly surface.

Just my opinion but I think they're all relevant.
