Forum having issues?

I think the spam protect is a little...off.

In trying to respond to a question, I got told off by the forum that I'd posted more than five times in the past 60 seconds, and that I was shut down for two minutes. Fair enough...except I'd only posted four times during the entire day, let alone 60 seconds, and that I certainly hadn't done all four in one minute.

Anyone else running into this, or is someone at UWE trying to tell me to shut up? ;)

    The forums are being a bit cranky in general at the moment, weird things happening on all the UWE forums.

    I think it's counting edits, as I had the message display when I was trying to edit a post just now.

    Lately there have been many random Chinese spambots on here, so because banning IP's is a non-solution with them spoofing IP's most likely. They've opted for the 60s per post time frame (including edits it seems). But, since new users (incl. spambots) instantly become part of the "members" group, they cannot apply proper anti-spam measurements, I assume. Maybe new members should be thrown into a "greenie" group up to 50posts?


    "You have posted 5 times within 60 seconds" that's also wrong dammit, it triggers after the first post/edit and seems to reset after the first edit? What is even going on here :D
