Hit ground at 3000 meters ?

So I went on a quest to see if there is a bottom of the map... I left northwards from Sandy Shores A.K.A The Quarantine Enforcement Platform (QEP), in the uss infinity 2 (my cyclops). I booted up and departed from there allowing FISTO (My P.R.A.W.N) to fall downwards. I hit ground at exactly 3000 meters below surface level. I proceeded northwards then found a drop off. I was able to repair fisto to full health then lept off falling to over 6500 meters without hitting bottom. I ended my journey there when fisto imploded as I had no seaglide with me. I wonder if there is going to be more things added deeper or if there used to be plans to. Id like to hear some input on my findings or any other information someone may have..

Here's some screenshots without the darkness and fog:
Interesting. dident think to turn off water fog and whatnot. I may go and do it again, I tried a few minutes ago but my cyclops got destroyed by sandsharks.
If anything I'm waiting for this to come out of the void and eat me!
Hold the phone... your Cyclops got destroyed by Sand Sharks? As in this;
was destroyed by Sand Sharks... as in these?
What if anyone tried going too far down in the void, that guy showed up?
In EXPERIMENTAL the Cyclops is now quite fragile.
Hopefully, when the new Cyclops upgrades hit the STABLE version, it will be adjusted more toward survivability for the non-hardcore average player.
So far, They have shown a tendency to making the game somewhat player friendly toward that regard.
Yes. I only run Subnautica in experimental... You are 100% correct it is very fragile, im not saying it a bad thing. I actually like it this way. They do need to tweak the creatures aggression and the fire spawn frequencies. It gets rediculase how you are in silent running mode and goto repair and the creatures start attacking soon as you enter to put out fires. They attack like a mini-gun, rapid and repeatedly over and over. Now back to the experimental thing. I only run in that version because i am a active play tester looking for any bugs I can find for the developers. I usually keep a check on just released updates though. I have reported bugs with the new cyclops update and within 10 minutes had a update pushed out fixing said bugs i reported. Sorry got off subject lol.
Why choose the lesser evil?
I'm sorry, but it had to be done...

Booooo
Umm, pretty much. I'd love for there not to be xbox levels of lag for that. That way I can experience my death at the cleanest visuals.
You can glitch through the floor if it doesn't load in time.
