Custom Game Problem

Hello, I am sort of new to Natural Seleciton, and everytime I click on a game to join, it says: You cannot connect to a server running custom game ns until you install the custom game. Any ideas? I also was wondering how do you install the patch? Thank you.

you don't need the patch (server side only)
if you wana run a server all you do is un zip it into your NS directory (it should prompt you to over wright some files, tell it to)

as for the error, I think you are running the game from the short cut, don't there is something buggy in atleast some of the releases, run it directly from HL

also make sure that you have NS instaled (I know it sounds stupid but you might have it in the wrong directory or something)

Odds are you're running NS using the desktop shortcut. You need to edit it, so that the "Start in" / "Working directory" is your Half-Life directory (C:\Sierra\Half-Life by default).
