Server For Testing

I've got a 1Mhz Win2K Server hooked up to a DSL line (7800 kbps down/512 kpbs up). It's got a SCSI drive and 256 Megs of RAM. I've been hosting games the last few days and found the ping to be acceptable for around 16 players (~100 ms).

I've been a fan of FPS for a long time and have always been interested in mapping. Unfortunately I have absolutely no time (and probably no talent ;-)) do get into mapping, but I would love to use the server to host maps for people who do.

So if you want to test your NS map (or any other mod), send me an email: mghaoui@hotmail.com.

The server is based in the Netherlands, and is only available mon-fri from 22:00 - 8:30 CET. Sat 16:00-, Sun the whole day.

PS: Oh yes NS developers, if you have a Beta version for testing, my server is available too ;-))

Have you uncapped the upload of the server, so people can pull the new custom map down at a decent rate? (and if so, how I can't find the command)

Don't know how it's done, but I'll see what I can do.

Otherwise I'll put an URL in the hostname of the server, something like "download from www.xxx.com" or something.
