Hamachi/Port Forwading Support?

Since the devs seem to not be able to create multiplayer as of yet, I wanted you guys's opinion, do you think the devs could add in a simple port sharing or hamachi system so that another person can join? I think this would be a really simple solution to the constant nag for multiplayer. And if not, I hope someone can make a mod at some point to do this.
