I had an interesting discussion in another thread about how the Cyclops stacked up against a WWI U-boat (spoiler: not well considering that WWI was over 100 years ago).
For fun, I've put up a list of the Cyclops stats compared to a few famous real-world subs. Note that test depth is often well above the actual crush depth for a sub. Feel free to post any corrections to the following information (with a link to the source).

True. However, if you have a shield, neither of them will be a problem.
For technology that is more than 400 years in the future, this is rather... Underwhelming, in any case... But it's the size of the gameworld that's scaling down the abilities of these subs
