Auto-Item Sorter?

So I was reading some other posts around the forums and I noticed that one of them mentioned having a fabricator search through your lockers and use that to craft (others proved the idea laggy/difficult on devs) but what about having 1 locker slowly sort items around lockers that have a custom filter for what can/can't be put in each, I find it very annoying to be busy with something and having to throw my stuff in the first locker I see open rather than having it auto sorted around my storage room.
