I see all these post in other chats about you guys hurrying to keep up. I say take your time and just keep the game as beautiful ad it is now even if we have to wait and get 2 updates in one. More exploring imo

Keep doing what you're doing! I fell in love with subnautica and even more so when the devs were listening to the feedback of the community. I think the wait is worth it

sounds like you guys have your hands full best of luck to you all and have you considered seeing into refining your codes for the game see if you can open up space? just a thought if you haven't thought of it yet nothing negative

you lied about the release date for the game!!!!! now it's been postponed until AFTER SUMMER! you guys might never get this released! i still love subnutica, just hoping that this will be the last time you ever postpone it! best of luck, plumsauce!

Take as long as you need. It's better to finish fine tuning updates than to send out new content for more interesting gameplay that just causes problems. The single, only, and most annoying thing that stops me from playing subnautica daily is Frame rate. I've lost 5 saves due too 2 second Frame rate around my big bases when I work hard and build a nice base I can't even get in the hatch due to skipping and lost frames.

Thank you Sosososooso much for the open communication you have with your plauer base! That alone has made me buy subnautica for another friend already despite it being in esrly access. Thank you for all the hard work you haveput in and will continue to put in More developer's need to be like you!

I notice that 90% of the time when my game completely freezes there are a bunch of ass manatees around. You get 2 or 3 of them all shooting green gas balls and gas smoke and the game completely freezes. Maybe take the mantees out the game..they arent necessary and their sound is annoying. Put the gas balls in a plant or something. I bet that would fix a large amount of the frame rate issues. At least its a good start.

Everything in the game is working great accept when I get close to the reef backs they make me lag really bad.

i say change the engine. looking at the game, its enormous in scale compared to games of a similar caliber. i understand it is extremely complicated, resource and time consuming. but its worth at least looking into if you want to scale up the game (or next game) adding creatures, biomes and anything else vast/elaborate. be more than happy to wait longer and pay more if that what it takes

Changing the engine at this late in the game is out of the question, as it would push the game back probably a year. If UWE can't extend or work around the "limits" mentioned, then likely the game scope will be drawn back a bit. That said, I have confidence that UWE can tackle this, perhaps with a bit of help from the Unity team.

We should set up some sort of aid relief for Max, at least so he can have a reclining chair given he's chained to his desk. Oh, and one of those shiatsu massage cushions. He may be held against his will but can be looked after.

They said hopefully in about 2 weeks and that was only 9 or 10 days ago. I'm completely psyched for this update too so hopefully real soon
