As most players know, the Mobile Vehicle Bay can only be used when it is floating at the surface, making it impossible to construct vehicles while inside caves. This is perhaps most relevant in the Lost River and Lava Zones, which can be difficult to access via Prawn or Cyclops.
This video shows how it is possible to use a Moonpool to circumvent this restriction. It still isn't possible to climb the MVB, but players can position themselves on the railing to access the MVB interface. This makes it possible to access the Lava Zones and the deepest Precursor facilities without ever building a Cyclops.
The two questions that remain: is this practical enough to change the way players explore the deepest biomes? If so (or even if not), should it be patched out?
