Possible crashfish bug?

I've recently started a new game and for some reason there are no crashfish pods. I've checked every cave in the shallows and the only thing I find are random crashfish eggs on the ground. Is this a bug or is my game just goofing up? I'm in the experimental build.

    Trello had something about spawning eggs near the pods, so I'm fairly sure the pods are supposed to be there.

    If you are starting a new game you might want to try clearing the cache. It's easy to find on google or around the forums how to do it. Sounds like a bug and it may be using the old cache yet. If it works out for you, or doesn't, you may want to update this thread with your results.
