    Base components snap to grid, try placing any compartment or MPR. Note that the player in the GIF above can place his component at any angle and construct it. If you open the full YT link, you can see he later fully constructs the Foundation and then the pieces snap as they are meant to.

    While we're on the subject, I've noticed that partially deconstructed Solar Panels keep operating at full efficiency even when they logically shouldn't. Early in the game you can pump up multiple SPs and deconstruct them down to below 25% (which gives you back all the materials) and they'll continue operating normally, as long as they're not reduced completely. Although seeing glowing phased-out-of-existence panels aren't nearly as pretty to look at, it does allow some insane power management for the early game with minimal effort. :confused:
