Holy Bonesharks Batman!

So, wanted to bring this up to see if its a bug or not, but I ended up wandering over to the Underwater Islands in my Seamoth and WOW, there are a /lot/ more of them. Like...50-to 60 in that one area. It's to the point that I can't go anywhere without drawing aggro, meaning if I leave the Seamoth, it'll explode and then I'll get swarmed and killed. Im not able to progress since I *need* things from that biome.

Please post a screen shot. Sounds like it would make an awesome one. (For me to look at when I can't play at work and such...) Thanks. :)

I would, but it requires saving and considering how much my seamoth gets annihilated no matter where I stop, not really wanting to save and risk a *really* long swim back. Lemme put it like this, in half of the area, just by skirting the upper edges before getting to the wreck, I had pulled almost 11 of them chasing me. And I've noticed in other areas, their population is also really kinda high. I'm not sure if this got added in the Ghost Update, but its frankly a ridiculous amount of Bonesharks. I was looking to play again and see about finally getting past the cyclops and going deep, but looks like I'm waiting....again.

Yeah I've noticed that, too. I haven't gone to the wreck there because of it.

Also, why do you have to save your game in order to take screenshots? Can you not just press PrtScn on your keyboard and paste the result into Paint or something? That's what I do.

I looked at controls and saw take picture was F11. I could try Print Screen but I have 50-50 results in games with it.

Screenshots are saved in the save game folders. No save means no screenshot.

OIC. you aren't using game to save them.

F12 should work with Steam and save it to %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Steam\userdata\your Steam user #\760\remote\264710\screenshots

Another option, neat! Now if I can stop not finding it when I want to and finding it when I don't, we'll be great!

You could save a Steam screenshot (F12), upload it to steam (shift+tab) and then post the steam link IF there weren't some wierd bug with the Unknown Worlds forums that prevents posting of Steam screenshots (though you could post a tinyurl of the steam screenshot link).

Likely the forum software isn't following the redirect that Steam uses or somesuch.

I am pretty sure every creature, or many of them at least, is in overproduction. Everywhere I go I see far more life than I am used to in Subnautica. The only thing (fortunately) that is conspicuously not sharing this trait so far is the reaper leviathan, probably because they are "placed" rather than spawned by the general algorithm for creature spawning.

These aren't as good ones, but were ones managed to mash in between dashes:

Not as great of a shot but was trying to get as many in view as possible.

So yeah, take those and copy paste across every "square" of the islands and you get how it is. I looked around and found someone talking about this several months back as the "Wall of Teeth."

A lot of that over by those blue bubble things between the ion cannon and the Aurora wreck, too. Bonesharks and Ampeels, two to three times as many as previosuly, if not more.

I have noticed an increase in the Koosh zones to, but at least they're somewhat navigable. The problem is that a good way to handle them, Stasis Rifle, is in the UI sooooo...

So what...get out of your seamoth, stasis them all for the what ... 10 seconds they stay that way ... get back in the seamoth and go do what you need to? Not a useful way of handling even a smaller number of aggressive creatures.

IN some cases I end up having one or two on me so I can have a place to put the SM and can go Seagliding around.
