Gun flooding

in Subnautica on Consoles
Ok, so one day, I accidentally fired a camera in the gun on the island and something amazing happened....it floated... so I said, why not try driving it around?, so I went back to my sonar station and then attempted to drive the camera around just for fun, but then it worked, so I was able to explore the lower levels of the gun without actually entering the gun...is that supposed to happen? or am I crazy?

    The game got confused about the water level; it must be a bug with camera drones and water levels that aren't the normal sea level (such as in the Gun moonpool).
