Server Is Enforcing File Consistency For...

I keep getting the statement server is enforcing file consistency for models/shell.mdl.
I know that with 1.03 it offers the servers the choice to do this and prevent custom models, but the problem is I DON'T HAVE ANY CUSTOM MODELS! I've reinstalled twice and I still get this when I try to join a large number of servers. Is it because I'm running on dial-up?

No, your Internet connection has nothing to do with this, but the fix is simple. Download the v1.03 server patch and unzip it. Copy the shell.mdl from the server patch and overwrite your old shell.mdl file with the new one. That should fix your problem!

Be careful when you do this! Do not overwrite any other files besides shell.mdl. Doing so may cause your more problems.

Can someone please tell me where shell.mdl is located? Thanks.

Just install the Server patch on your client, and you are good to go.

Another fix would be to delete or rename any pak (ie pak1 and pak2) files in the HL directory other than pak0.pak. The consistency check doesn't like it if you have the high-def pack from Blue Shift. It's possible it might not like files from Op Force, too.

I have tried all of the above to no avail. Still fails on kn-hit-2.wav. Supposed to be a patch along to fix this but I won't believe it 'til I see it for myself. My other computer can log onto servers fine, only problem is it isn't very Natural-Selection friendly and I'm always on this one.
Guess there just *has* to be some obscure, inherant bugs in the consistency checking.
